Internet Purchases, Lubrication Equipment & Your Bottom Line
In today's competitive environment where every dollar counts, finding ways to save money without compromising quality and service are a key to staying competitive
For companies that use lubrication equipment and supplies, whether manufactured by Alemite, or Lincoln, or Graco or others, one way to do this is to buy your equipment on the internet. This is true for all purchasers unless, of course, you require your vendor to install the equipment.
In years past, it made sense to buy this kind of equipment, grease and oil pumps, reels and control hands, as well as grease guns, battery powered or cordless grease guns and fittings from your local dealer. There were no other options for you as far a purchasing and you likely relied on your supplier to repair your equipment.
Today, things have changed. First, most companies repair their own equipment. Second, there are many repair "super centers", regional repair facilities that can economically and in a timely fashion repair this equipment. Most importantly, the internet has opened competition, driving the price down for you. While this is true for many commodities, it is particularly true for lubrication equipment and supplies.
These internet warehouses give you what you want as far as support: Technical information and drawings, detailed quoting, factory warranties and logistical assistance to name a few. All of this at a significant discount from traditional supply channels.
How is this possible?
These companies, in general, do not have a show room, rather just a warehouse. They do not have direct sales people calling on accounts. In other words, they have significantly reduced overhead. They are willing to pass a large portion of their margin to you, in exchange for a relatively easy sale. They are fully authorized by the factory (make sure you confirm this with them and the factory before you buy!) so warranty claims if any are straight forward.
As an example, a mine in the Southwest, had a lubrication set up that included: A grease pump on a cart, hose reel, a dispensing head and a battery powered cordless grease gun. All of this product was manufactured by Alemite. This set up was replicated multiple times throughout the property. When it came time to replace a set up, they saved over 25% on the components. They received the same parts, on the same pallet from the same factory for more than a 25% savings. All purchased from an authorized dealer with the same factory warranty.
If you take the time to make sure that your internet purveyor is a factory authorized dealer, there is no reason that you and your company can't enjoy similar savings when you buy lubrication equipment and supplies.

Motor Driven Automatic Electronic Lubricators – Electro Luber
The Electro-Luber MD 2000 is a self-contained, microprocessor controlled, motor-driven automatic lubricator. Electro-Luber is an automatic electronic lubricant dispenser giving continuous lubrication protection 24 hours per day. It cannot be termed as a pressure vessel as it is not operated by producing gas. Instead, the operation of the lubricator is dependent on the use of minor internal pressure forcing lubricant into the threads of a unique rotating auger pump. It is this that mixes and dispenses the lubricant at pressures up to 200 psi. the pressure avails the lubricator to be used not only with long feed line pipework, and it can even cycle progressive distributors allowing one MD 2000 to feed several bearings. When one or a combination of selector switches are turned on, the unit will activate at selected intervals. At each interval, approximately 1cc of grease will be delivered to the bearing. In addition it must be noted that the grease output is not affected by outside temperature or altitude.

It involves a two method way to automatically dispense the lubricant and grease on ball bearings. Thus it fosters reusable Motor driven units and the electro-chemical cell that generates inert nitrogen gas.

The large variety of Electro Lube available in the market also avails great demand. It is available is 125cc (8 3/4" high x 3 1/6" diameter), 250cc (8 1/2" high x 4" diameter), and 500cc (8 1/2" high x 4 3/4" diameter) sizes.

The lubricator is available in both Alkaline and Lithium battery packs and is designed as single point lubricators or to feed multiple ball bearings using progressive distribution blocks from Digilube.

Available with a warranty of two years, the units of Electro Luber is pre filled with the lubricant of the buyers specification.

Electro-Luber MD units can be used underwater to depths of 60 ft. (20 meters) and the use for alkaline is only recommended up till 50º - 85º F (-10º - 30º C)
It is advised that for the successful and reliable application of the lubricator one should avoid the use of Electro Luber in case of automatic grease dispensers in temperatures below 14º F (10º C), above 170º F (76º C), or in an application requiring more than 200 psi. Installing the Electro Luber MD (units have 1/2" NPT threads and come with a brass adapter) directly on the bearing is the best way to install this lubricator. Even after the filling is empty, refilling can be easily accomplished by using a standard grease gun.
