Massey Harris 22G farm tractor late 1940's or early 1950's how do I tell??
Recently bought an Old tractor from My grandfather.. It still runs but he is unsure what year it is, His memory isn't that good anymore, How do I tell what year it is and is there a Web Site that can Help me determine this?? I want to get as much Info as possible about this tractor it has been in the family since new.... By the way it still runs like a top.. and purr's like a Kitten!
I presume it doesn't have a registration number you can check. You could get the serial number...it should be on a little metal plate somewhere.....and ask the dealer. For a Massey Harris tractor you now need a Massey Ferguson dealer, or try contacting Massey Ferguson direct,they are now owned by Agco.

Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers
Figures released by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) revealed overall sale of 57,749 units (Fiat and Massey Ferguson) in the last 10 months as compared to 47,666 units in the same months of last fiscal year.
Makers of Fiat tractors sold 25,013 units as compared to 24,252 units while Massey Ferguson sales touched 32,736 from 23,414 units.
A total of 600,651 units of two and three wheelers (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Sohrab, Hero, Habib, Qingqi, Ravi, Sazgar etc) were sold in July-April 2009-2010 as compared to 405,197 units in the same period of last fiscal year.
PAMA figures of bikes are based on selected members, while a majority of makers are members of Association of Pakistan Motorcycle Assemblers (APMA).
Chairman APMA Mohammad Sabir Shaikh linked improvement in bike sales, especially to surging rural buying by growers after harvesting good crop of wheat, cotton and rice.
He said people in even urban areas purchased bikes in larger numbers after some improvement in economic indicators.
"We are expecting overall bike sales (Japanese and Chinese) to hover between 1.2 and 1.3 million units by the end of current fiscal year as against 850,000 units sold in 2008-2009," he added.
Sale of Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki bikes rose to 391,105, 101,798 and 14,038 units in the last 10 months of 2009-2010 as compared to 285,720, 46,390 and 12,651 units in the same period of last fiscal year.
Overall truck and bus sales during the last 10 months (July 09-April 10) of the financial year showed an increase of 15 per cent (3,391 units) as compared to 2,939 units in the same period of previous fiscal year.
In the truck segment, an increase of 17.6 per cent (2,844 units) was observed as compared to last financial year (2,417 units), while in bus segment a slight increase of 0.5 per cent was recorded (547 units) as compared to last financial year (522 units).
An increase of 15 per cent in Hinopak Motors trucks and buses sale (1,607 units) was witnessed as compared to the last financial year (1,399 units).
In April 2010, overall trucks and buses market showed a downward trend in which sales stood at 235 units as compared to 437 units in March while sales in April 2009 was 313 units.
Director Sales and Marketing Hinopak Motors Limited Mohammad Irfan Shaikh said though the first quarter of the calendar year showed a significant increase, suddenly April saw a major drop in sales in approximately all the makes. He said this downward trend in sales in April seems to be a temporary pause due to hike in transportation tariff, law and order situation and energy crisis in the country.
Irfan Shaikh said as government is thinking introduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the budget 2010-2011, from June 2010 on all goods and services, he said the industry fears that if the VAT is levied on commercial vehicles which are already exempted from general sales tax (GST), it would affect the purchasing power of transporters, and hit commercial vehicle automobile industry's growth.
He said the government should continue its support to the automobile industry in the upcoming budget as automobile industry, especially commercial vehicle segment during the current financial year was badly hurt by exchange rate, inflation and law and order situation in the country.
Total sales of LCVs, vans and jeeps (Sigma Defender, Toyota Hilux, Suzuki Ravi, Hyundai Shehzore, Master and Dong Feng) were recorded at 13,056 units as against 12,097 units.
