Can water get in the gas you buy at the service station?
We had our John Deere Tractor serviced and was charged and told the reason it did not start was due to water in the Fuel line and the carburetor.
I bought the gas at the local station. It was put in a new can. We put this gas in our John Deere, push mower and blower as well as our new weed eater. Nothing started. Went to the owner told him and he said no way that water does not get into the gas. Ok!
So Got everything fixed only to buy more gas/ same station after all Owner says no way does this happen. and here we go again. Poured fresh gas in from same station. Service call Charged again for water in the gas. We keep our equipment in a dry carriage house. Gas buy as needed so what do we do?
sometimes yes more so in winter their tanks run low and they sweat same goes for your tank running it low leaves room inside tank for sweating to happen
and sure they would say it wasnt them they dont want to refund anything but its possible yes if you think you got bad fuel just pour some in a glass jar can see it since water and fuel dont mix water you can see it
stop buying fuel at that place easy to do

Unlike many collectors of antiques, antique tractor collectors and users don't have clubs that give conclusive answers as to what vintage, classic, or antique means. The word antique is a catchall word for any tractor that seems to be adequately old. Some people reserve the terms such as classic or vintage for more contemporary models, but there isn't any consensus as to exactly when each term applies. Most folks appear to agree the 1960s models of most makes represent the cusp of antique tractors. Regularly models that were produced in the 1960s commenced their production years in the 1950s and therefore share design similarities with older tractors. Many tractors from the 1960s such as John Deere's New Generation tractors, represent a step up in technology and an exit from older designs. While tractors like the New Generation are covered in this book and are quickly becoming collectible, they don't seem to be yet considered antique. This book typically uses the term antique to describe any tractor designed before the early 1960s, before the influences of the'Space Race' and modern electronics. At roughly this time, modern metals, alloys, and plastics, as well as automated producing strategies, began to change the appearance and the performance of tractors. Don't despair if your favorite'antique' is a 1968 Ford. This book will continue to be important, valuable, and crucial reading. If your tops antique is a 1917 Moline Universal, you'll also find this book a very important part of your library, though I recommend you think long and hard before putting the tractor to work on chores i suggest and explain later on in the book. Tractors this old can be unbecoming and dangerous for many modern jobs. Whether an antique tractor is safe depends essentially on the operator, and on the answer to several questions : Is the operator educated about the tractor and implement? Yet any tractor can be dangerous and even deadly if the operator fails to make safety his or her number-one priority. The operator must ensure that the tractor is in proper running condition and must operate it carefully and suitably to reduce risks. They own antique tractors for sentimental reasons, investment potential, and a pile of other reasons unrelated to agriculture. Antique tractors retain their price as working machines. In addition, individual parts that are much in demand can command premium prices. For example, a total and working carburetor for many models can fetch over $100. Even if you do make a little money, the rate of return would make any good financial planner giggle. The rare or bizarre tractor that makes its owner a beautiful profit is more legend that fact, and being sufficiently fortunate to own one is a very improbable probability.
